+ SHIFT LEADER:

PART-TIME (30+ HOURS/WEEK) We are looking for an experienced shift leader to join our team! JOB SUMMARY:

  • This Shift Leader role contributes to Kow Kow's success by assisting the Store Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job delegates tasks so that team members can create and maintain an amazing experience for our customers. Your role is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Kow Kow’s guiding principles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Kow Kow. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or fast-paced events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for other team members.
  • Anticipates customers and stores’ needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to the managers so that the team can respond as necessary.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team members’ morale and performance and communicating them to the Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager.
  • Effectively handling guests' needs and/or complaints
  • Follows up with team members during the shift to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service for all customers.
  • Providing training, coaching, and direction to team members during assigned shift.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team members.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 year of shift lead/managing experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly disposition.
  • Thorough understanding of each of our products and an ability to articulate our offerings.
  • Reliability — must always be on time and ready to work at their best.
  • Works with a sense of urgency but efficiency.
  • Good problem-solving skills + ability to think quickly.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Abillity to work as a team.
  • Make good judgment calls based on their understanding of Kow Kow’s values.
  • Availability to work during store hours + setup/breakdown.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 

 

+ FRONT OF THE HOUSE:

PART-TIME (12+ HOURS/WEEK) We are looking for FOH team members to represent Kow Kow! JOB SUMMARY:

  • Kow Kow has a mission to serve high quality ingredients and offer a superb customer experience. The Front of House role is integral to Kow Kow’s brand and image as we’re looking for waffle and ice cream lovers who are passionate about quality, service and growing with a company that focuses on their own people as well as our patrons. To be successful in this role, you need to strive to provide an authentic, superior guest experience as well as thriving in a face-paced working environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and missions of Kow Kow.
  • Maintains positivity and enthusiasm while promoting a superior experience for both team members and customers.
  • Routinely cleans the prep and ice cream area, speciality equipment upkeep, register mechanics, dining room operations, and inventory counts.
  • Greets all customers with fast, friendly and personalized service. Going above and beyond for customers’ needs to provide a world class customer service experience.
  • Understanding and constantly being aware of safety and sanitation standards for food handling and applying that knowledge to other junior team members.
  • Enjoy meeting new people everyday and putting a smile on peoples’ faces.
  • Operates all parts of FOH positons including making drinks, waffles, assembling cones, and greeting customers.
  • Follows Kow Kow’s operational policies and procedures, including those for cash/register handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift.
  • Able to learn and retain recipe and cashier knowledge and maintain a high performance attitude towards all responsibilities and duties.
